Hey friends, my name is Joel. I've been pretty busy in Canberra over the last few years, working with bands and artists in a bunch of different ways, and I thought it was probably time that I started writing some more stuff down. I have a lot of conversations with a lot of people about what they would like to see in the Canberra scene, and while a some of it is way out of our scope, a lot of these great ideas deserve to see some light.
So here we are!
While we've already got a few people on board, and a bunch of ideas put forward, we've still got a ways to go. You'll hear from us from time to time, but if there's something you want to see or hear, hit us up! We're always keen for a challenge!
What are we going to see here?
I want to get heaps of creative stuff happening here. Live on a Log has been great so far, and the label has been really exciting as well. This year you're going to see a podcast (when we get our shit together) similar to the show Jackie and I already do on 2xx, but focussing more on the live scene. We're gonna have some exclusive live goodies, album reviews, feature artists, local art, and heaps of gig info, just to name a few things.
How can I be a part of this?
Send us a message! We want this to be as open source as possible, so it's important to have everyone's input. Album reviews, gig reviews and photos, insider scoops on the best kebab deals, whatever you like! As long as you're not being a jerk to anyone, its pretty much open slather!
We've got new hosting now and I'm definitely not a webmaster, so it might take me a minute to figure signup stuff out, but sign up, and we'll go from there! Peace!
